SOCIAL CONTENT CREATOR

OVERVIEW

Teralon is a visual content agency based in south west London. From branding and content strategy to production and distribution, we create cinematic visual content (including film, photography, animation, motion graphics, and live streamed content) that makes our clients look really REALLY good online. We work with a range of clients from local corporate and creative companies in London to global sports organisations and international tourism brands.

We are looking for a part time social content creator to join our growing in-house team.

Teralon is more than just a production company, we are a client-first agency focussed on service. We are looking for someone who will always be a pleasure for our clients to work with and who will go above and beyond to deliver the assets they require, leaving a smile on their face from the experience. This position is perfect for someone looking to stretch their creative skills with an added technical layer. You’ll need commitment, creativity, and a love for the art and craft of photography & filmmaking.

Starting January 2025, the job is a part-time (on average 20 hours per week) contract. Due to the nature of the travel, some weeks will be full weeks, while others will be lightly loaded.  The job will be in-office and on-location, with core office hours of 10am to 5:30pm, and some flexibility for working from home. 

The role will involve two main parts:

PART A: BSMR SOCIAL MEDIA SHOOTER

Help us fulfil the social media shooter role on our Bloomberg Square Mile Relay project. For full background context on this project, please visit our case study page. This part of the role involves following a specific spreadsheet of posts, planning captions, shooting photos and video clips (usually on a Sony A7S3), editing them on a phone, and posting them directly to social media platforms as you go.

These events are held in the following locations and you will be expected to travel to most of them. Typically, the team leaves London on a Tuesday and returns Saturday morning. There is some down-time in each location but the focus is to create content for the project.

PART B: TERALON SOCIAL MEDIA EXECUTIVE

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

•⁠ Managing and maintaining Teralon’s presence on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook
•⁠ Creating content, scheduling, and posting
•⁠ Writing and distributing our monthly newsletter
•⁠ Regular upkeep and engagement with Teralon’s social audience
•⁠ Occasional behind the scenes shooting for some of our projects

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, QUALITIES

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience shooting photography & video productions
• ⁠Knowledge and creativity in the use of social media platforms
• Proven track record of either in-house or freelance work with references
• Must have experience shooting events and corporate productions

Skills:

• ⁠A mid-level of proficiency using Sony mirrorless systems, or the ability to learn these quickly if you are used to other systems
• ⁠Mac & iPhone user
• ⁠Experience with Lightroom & Photoshop
• ⁠Experience with Premiere Pro

• ⁠Other spoken languages (not essential, but nice to have)
• ⁠Full driver’s licence required

Applicants must be based in London and have the legal right to work in the UK, must hold a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.

If successful, we may invite you for a test shoot in London on September 26th 2024, and a paid test shoot in Hong Kong on November 14th 2024 (leaving London on November 11th or 12 & returning November 15th or 16th).
