Eliud Kipchoge, the world’s greatest marathon runner, made history on October 12th 2019 by running the first ever sub two hour marathon. Teralon was tasked with documenting the journey leading up to this incredible feat without disrupting Eliud’s training and performance.
With a crew of only one, we followed Eliud’s training for 6 months in the Global Sports camp in Kaptagat, Kenya. Working alongside legendary sports photographer Dan Vernon, Teralon were the only team trusted to have close access to Eliud and were therefore responsible for producing content for documentaries, social media, and all news outlets.
In the lead up to the event we produced footage for a huge amount of short form social media content, and supplied all news outlets with video news release packages and supporting content for the live broadcast on race day. The hero piece was a 5 part documentary hosted on the Ineos YouTube channel.
